Our office is at 9 Syed Amir Ali Avenue, right in the busy Park Circus area. You have to find the side entrance and then head all the way up to the top floor of the building. It is a bit of a climb, especially when the lift is acting up, which happens more often than we would like. Once you get up here, it is actually pretty quiet compared to all the street noise downstairs. We have a few desks scattered around the room and a lot of manila folders stacked on the windowsills. We deal with a lot of international paperwork, so there is always something that needs to be signed or mailed out. The view from the top floor isn't much to look at, just the roofs of other old buildings and the tops of some trees. We have a small electric kettle in the corner for making tea, and that gets a lot of use during the monsoon season. There are three of us here most days. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when we have a lot of product samples arriving at once, but we make it work. We spend a lot of time on the computer checking tracking numbers and responding to emails from people in different time zones. It is a bit of a strange schedule sometimes, starting late or staying long after everyone else has gone home. We do not have a showroom, just our desks and the files.
