Mazumdar Enterprise

You can find us over in Madhyamgram, specifically in the Bankimpally area. Our office is set up at the place of the Late Makhan Lal Ghosh, right in Ward Number 20. Kolkata is a big city, but out here it feels a bit more like a community where everyone knows who is who. We run Mazumdar Enterprise from this spot, and it’s a fairly simple operation. We don’t have any of those big glass windows or fancy receptionists you see in the city center. It’s just us, a few chairs, and whatever work has come in for the week. The street outside can get quite narrow, especially when the rickshaws are trying to get past each other, but we like being right in the middle of it. Most days involve a lot of talking to neighbors and handling the daily chores that come with running a small business. Sometimes the rain makes things a bit difficult, and the power might go out for an hour, but we just wait it out and get back to work. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We just want to do a decent job so we can keep the lights on and help out whoever stops by. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except for the noise of the market nearby and the kids playing in the lane. We’ve been here for a bit and plan on staying put for a long time.
