Maytas

We are located in Taral, which is in the Rasulpur area of Hooghly. It’s a part of West Bengal that feels very connected to the local community. Maytas isn’t some big, anonymous company here; we’re just a small team working in a local building. The surroundings are pretty simple, with a lot of local activity going on throughout the day. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood from our desks. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. Usually, if someone comes by, one of us just looks up from our desk to see what they need. It’s a very hands-on way of working. The office itself has seen better days, but it’s functional and keeps the rain out. We spend most of our time on paperwork and coordinating various tasks. It’s not glamorous, but it’s real work. We often eat lunch together, talking about things that have nothing to do with business. There’s a sense of just being part of the local fabric here in Hooghly. We don't have any big marketing slogans or brochures. We just do our bit and try to be helpful when we can. It’s about being reliable and showing up every morning. We’ve been in Rasulpur for a while now and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the place. It’s just how we operate. There isn't much more to it than that.
