Our place is right on AJC Bose Road. If you know this part of the city, you know how busy and crowded it gets with all the traffic and people moving around. We operate as traders, mostly dealing with flex materials and related stuff. It’s a straightforward business. We don’t have a massive warehouse, just enough space to keep our stock and a small area where we handle the paperwork. The phone rings a lot, and there is usually someone coming in to check on an order or ask about prices. We’ve been around for a while, so we know the local market pretty well. It isn't always smooth sailing; sometimes shipments are late or the weather in Kolkata makes everything damp, but we deal with it. We aren't trying to be the biggest name out there. We just want to make sure our customers get what they need without too much trouble. It's mostly about building relationships with people over the years. We spend our days looking at manifests and talking to drivers. It's a bit noisy with the street outside, but you get used to it after a week or two. We don't have any fancy brochures or a marketing team. It’s just us here on AJC Bose Road, trying to keep the business running and making sure the inventory stays moving. It's hard work, but it keeps us busy and we wouldn't have it any other way. The hustle of the road outside is just part of the daily routine for us.
