We’ve been over here at 60A/2 Bhuban Barisa for a good while now. It’s a busy part of Kolkata, and our workshop fits right into the noise and the energy of the street. Most mornings start early, with the sun just coming up over the rooftops and the smell of tea from the shop down the road. Manufacturing and construction work isn’t always clean or easy, but it’s what we do. We spend a lot of time looking at plans and making sure things are cut right or put together the way they should be. Sometimes the machinery gets a bit loud, and the neighbors probably wonder how we stand it all day, but you get used to the rhythm after a few years. It’s a bit cramped in here with all the materials stacked against the walls, yet we know where everything is. People come by to ask about projects or just to see how things are going. We don't have a big fancy office with air conditioning that works all the time, just a desk with too many papers and some stools for when someone needs to sit down. The fans move the air around, but it still gets hot during the summer months. We just keep our heads down and get through the tasks on the list. It’s about getting the physical work finished and seeing a stack of finished parts ready to go out. That’s just life at Manufacturing & Construction Co.
