Down at 38/4A Ramtanu Bose Lane, you’ll find us working away at Sarala Mjs Plastic. It’s one of those narrow lanes where you have to be careful how you park. The building has been our base for quite some time now. We deal with plastics, which means there’s always a certain smell of materials in the air and plenty of boxes stacked up. It isn't a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. My brother and I started helping out here years ago. Now, it’s just the daily routine of checking the machines and making sure the orders are ready. Sometimes the power acts up, and we have to wait around, but we usually find something else to clean or fix while we wait. We don’t have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy letters. We just talk to our customers plainly. Most of them have been coming to us for years. The lane is usually quiet until the delivery truck tries to squeeze through. That always causes a bit of a stir. We have a small office tucked in the corner where the accounts get done. It’s a bit cramped with all the files, but we know where everything is. It’s just a regular plastic business. Nothing more, nothing less. We keep our heads down and stay busy with the work at hand.
