Mallcom India Ltd

We are over here in Kolkata, tucked away in Flat-H at Mohini Apartments. It’s in Prantika Garia, which most people around here know well enough. Coming from the main city center is a bit of a trek, but we like it this way. The building is older, number 1984, and the halls can get a bit dim when the power flickers, which happens often during the monsoon months. My desk sits near the window where I can see the street below. Sometimes it gets noisy with the rickshaws and people shouting, but that is just how Kolkata is. At Mallcom India Ltd, we’ve been at this for some time now, just doing the work that needs doing. A fancy corporate tower isn't what you'll find here. This is a flat where we keep our files and answer the phone. Usually, there are three or four of us around, and we share tea at four o’clock when the heat starts to drop a little. Since there isn't a big sign outside, people sometimes walk past the entrance to the apartments. You have to look for the gate and then head up the stairs. It’s a practical space. Money doesn't go toward fancy furniture or decorations. Our goal is just to make sure the paperwork is sorted and the clients get what they asked for. That’s about it for us really. Nothing too exciting happens, but we keep the wheels turning day after day.
