Maithan Ceramic Ltd.

We are located at 20 British Indian Street, up on the third floor of East India House. This is an old part of the city, and the building has that heavy, solid feel to it. Maithan Ceramic Ltd. has been here for a while. Our office, 3F, is where we handle the ceramics side of things. It’s not a factory, just the administrative office and a place to show samples to people who drop by. The hallway outside is narrow and the stairs are steep, so most people use the lift, even if it’s a bit cranky. Inside, we have shelves lined with different ceramic pieces and lots of binders full of technical details. It’s a bit cramped because we have a lot of files from over the years. We don't have a big corporate lobby. You just walk in and someone will be there at their desk. We spend our days coordinating orders and talking to the production sites. The street outside is always full of life, with people selling snacks and the sound of horns honking. It’s a very busy neighborhood to work in. We like being in East India House because it’s central, even if the traffic is a nightmare during rush hour. We are just a group of people who know a lot about ceramics and have been working together in this same spot for a long time. It’s a simple, honest business without any bells or whistles.
