Maheswari & Associates

Maheswari & Associates is tucked away in Flat D/3 at 559 Purba Sinthee Bye Lane. It’s a bit of a specific spot to find if you aren’t from around here in Kolkata-30. The lane is narrow and has its own rhythm. We’ve been working out of this flat for a while. It’s a small space, but we’ve made it work for us. There are files stacked on the cabinets and the printers are usually humming away in the corner. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who know the routine well. It’s the kind of place where you can hear the neighbors and the street noise throughout the day. We like it that way because it feels connected to the real world. We don’t put on any airs or graces here. If the phone rings, one of us just picks it up. We do our best to stay on top of the work, even when it piles up toward the end of the month. The light in the afternoon is quite nice through the window, even if the view is just other buildings. We’ve got a routine that works for us, starting early and finishing when the work is done. It’s not a glamorous setup, but it’s where we do our best thinking and get things settled for the people who come to see us. We just sit at our desks and focus on the tasks.
