Railton Electronics

Railton Electronics is located at No. 3/C Madan Street, right opposite the Ministry Hotel and just behind the New Cinema. It’s a great spot because there’s always something going on outside. You can hear the crowds from the cinema sometimes during the late shows. Inside the shop, it’s a different world. We have shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling, filled with wires, capacitors, and circuit boards. It’s a bit dark in the back, so we use desk lamps to see what we are doing. I spend a lot of my time hunched over a workbench with a soldering iron. It’s quiet work, and you have to be careful not to burn yourself. We get a lot of people coming in looking for parts they can't find anywhere else. Sometimes we have to dig through old boxes for an hour just to find one specific component. The shop has a bit of an old smell to it, like dust and warm electronics. We don't have any flashy displays or neon signs. Just a small counter where we talk to customers. My brother helps me with the books and the ordering. We’ve been here for a long time, and the location is easy for everyone to remember. It’s not a big operation, just us doing what we know how to do with electronics. We don't mind the clutter as long as we can find the tools we need.
