You can find us at 24 Netaji Subhas Road. If you know this part of the city, you know it’s always packed with people and old buildings. Our office has been here for a long time, and not much has changed over the years. We have heavy wooden desks and old-fashioned filing systems that still work perfectly fine for what we do. The ceiling fans spin all day long, trying to keep the humidity at bay. Outside, the street is a constant flow of taxis, handcarts, and people rushing to get somewhere. It’s a very traditional environment. We don’t use much modern technology unless we absolutely have to. We prefer doing things the way we always have, with a lot of attention to the details on the paper in front of us. The hallways are narrow and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re used to it. It’s a place with a lot of history in the bricks. We start our day early to beat the worst of the heat and the crowds. Usually, there’s a lot of talk about the day’s work over a cup of tea. We don’t have a flashy entrance or big banners outside. There’s just a small nameplate near the door. People who need us know where to find us. It’s just how things are on Netaji Subhas Road, and we’re quite content with that. We just do the job.
