Down here on Jaya Street, right near the GST Road in Tambaram, things stay pretty hectic. Chennai is always moving, and we are right in the middle of that flow at Lucas Tvs Ltd. Our spot at number 3 is easy enough to find if you know the Kadaperi area. We’ve been operating from this location for quite some time now. It’s mostly just us handling the day-to-day requirements of people coming in from the main road. The traffic outside is loud, but inside we just focus on the work at hand. We handle a lot of different things, mostly stuff related to the auto parts and electricals that people need for their vehicles. It gets hot in the afternoons, but that’s just how it is in Chennai-45. We don’t have a big corporate team or anything like that. It is just a few of us making sure the inventory is right and the customers get what they are looking for. Sometimes someone comes in just to ask for directions because of where we are on GST Road. We help out where we can. It’s a basic setup, nothing too shiny or polished. We just keep the shelves stocked and try to stay organized. Most of our regulars are from around Tambaram or people passing through on their way south. It’s a steady rhythm that keeps us going every week and we like it that way.
