Loknath Aluminium Technology

We work with aluminium down here in Gorabari. It’s a busy little shop near the Pingboni post office. Mostly we spend our days cutting frames for windows and doors. People from all over West Midnapore come to get stuff made for their new houses. We have the saws and the drilling machines set up in the back. The floor is always covered in silver shavings by lunch. I’ve been doing this for a long time now, and my hands show it. It’s hard work, especially when the orders pile up during the construction season. We don't have a fancy website or a sales team. It’s just me and a couple of assistants. We measure everything twice because mistakes cost money. Sometimes the material delivery is late, which slows us down, but we try to stay on top of things. We live right nearby, so we’re always around if someone needs to drop off a measurement. The shop is a bit cluttered with extrusions and glass panes leaning against the walls. It’s just a practical business for practical needs. We use basic tools and a lot of manual labor to get the fit right. Most people find us through word of mouth. We just want to do the job and move on to the next one. It’s a simple living that keeps us busy from morning till night.
