Our warehouse and office are on Monilal Banerjee Road in Kolkata. It’s a typical Kolkata street, narrow and always a bit crowded with people and handcarts. We have been here for a while, using the space to store goods and manage deliveries around the city. The building is old but sturdy, and it keeps the rain out during the monsoon, which is the most important thing for a warehouse. Inside, there are rows of pallets and boxes stacked up high. We try to keep a system, but sometimes when a big shipment comes in, it feels like we are playing a giant game of Tetris to make everything fit. The air is often a bit dusty, and you can hear the sounds of the city through the windows. We aren't a big corporate chain; we are just a local operation trying to get packages from one side of town to the other. Sometimes the delivery vans get stuck in traffic for hours, and we have to sit here and wait for them to return. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting and moving stuff around, but we have a good group of guys who don't mind the sweat. We keep it simple here. No big speeches or fancy presentations, just moving boxes and checking lists. It’s what we know how to do, and we do it right here on Monilal Banerjee Road. We’ve seen the neighborhood change, but our warehouse stays the same.
