Our place is on the first floor over here on Ezra Street. If you know this area, you know how crowded it gets with all the shops and the narrow lanes. It’s the heart of the electrical market, so there’s always noise and people moving boxes around. We have been in this building at number 27 for quite a while. The stairs are a bit steep, so carrying heavy crates up and down is a daily workout for the guys. Inside, it’s mostly shelves piled high with fixtures and different types of lamps. We don’t have a fancy display window. Most people just walk in and ask for what they need. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we have to wait it out. It’s just how things are in this part of town. We spend a lot of time on the phone with customers who are looking for specific parts that are hard to find. We try to keep a good stock, but sometimes things run out faster than we expect. The lunch breaks are usually quick because there’s always someone at the door. It’s a bit chaotic, but we’re used to the pace of Ezra Street. We just focus on getting the right lights into the right hands without making too much of a fuss about it. It’s a steady job and it keeps the lights on for us too.
