We are over in Rabindranagar, at C/E1. Kolkata is a city that never really stops, and it’s the same here. Lgf Sysmac India Private Limited is our name. The office isn't anything special to look at from the outside. It’s a functional space where we handle all our business. We have some chairs for visitors, but they’re usually covered in papers. The floor is tiled and easy to clean. We get quite a bit of humidity here, so the windows stay open when it’s not too rainy. It’s a small group of us working here daily. We don't use big fancy words or try to act like we are a giant corporation. We’re just local people doing our jobs. The neighborhood is full of small businesses and shops. You can hear the sounds of the street all day. We have a few cupboards for our records and a small table for the water cooler. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when we have a lot of deliveries arriving at once. We know the local chai wallah and the shopkeepers nearby. It’s a decent place to work. We don't have any mission statements on the wall, just a calendar and some phone numbers. Sometimes the electricity flickers when the street lights come on. We just laugh it off and keep going. We like the energy of the city around us and the people who drop by.
