Shree Gupta Spares

Shree Gupta Spares is located at 158 Lenin Sarani. If you know this area, you know it’s always busy with traffic and people moving about. Our shop is full of parts and different metal bits that people need for their machines. It’s not the cleanest place in the world because spare parts can be greasy and heavy. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, and sometimes we have to use a ladder to find that one specific thing someone is asking for. My hands are usually a bit dirty by the end of the day, but that’s part of the job. We’ve been on Lenin Sarani for a long time. The building is old and has a lot of history. We don’t do any fancy advertising or anything like that. People usually find us because they were told we might have the part they are looking for. We sit on small stools behind the counter and wait for the next person to come in with a broken piece of machinery. Sometimes we can help, sometimes we can't, but we always take a look. It’s a simple life. We close up when the sun goes down and head back home. The noise from the street is constant, but after a few years, you don’t even hear the horns anymore. It's just home to us now. We just keep our heads down and get the work done.
