Lawmaker

You can find Lawmaker right at 26/1B Prasanna Kumar Tagore Street in Kolkata. It’s an old part of the city, so the streets can get a bit crowded with traffic and people moving about. The building has been here for years. It’s got that specific North Kolkata feel to it. Inside, it’s mostly desks and papers. We aren't a big corporation with glass walls. It’s just a small group of us handling things day to day. Sometimes the ceiling fans make a bit of noise, and it gets warm in the afternoons. We usually have tea delivered from the shop around the corner around 4 PM. That’s a bit of a ritual for everyone here. The neighborhood knows us. Being on Prasanna Kumar Tagore Street means we are close to a lot of history. We don’t really do big advertising or anything. People usually hear about us through word of mouth or just by walking past the sign. The 700006 area is always busy. We try to keep our workspace organized, but with so much going on, there’s always a pile of something somewhere. It’s a lived-in office. We like the location because it’s easy for most of the staff to get to using the bus or the metro. We’ve stayed in this same spot for a long time. It suits us well enough. Just a regular Kolkata workplace doing its thing.
