Our spot here in Rourkela is tucked away in Sector-14, specifically at Quarter No.-A/246. It’s a quiet enough part of the city in the Sundergarh district. Being part of Larsen & Toubro Ltd. in this area means we’re surrounded by a lot of industrial history. Our building is simple, nothing like those tall glass towers you see in bigger cities. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, files, and the sound of keyboards. We’ve got a small team here. Most of us live nearby, so the commute isn't too bad unless it’s raining hard. We handle local operations and keep things moving. There’s a lot of coordination with the sites around Orissa. We don’t have a big fancy lobby. You just walk in and see people working. Sometimes we have meetings that go longer than they should because someone brought snacks. It feels more like a community than a big corporation because we all know each other well. We deal with the day-to-day tasks, sorting through blueprints or checking on supplies. It gets humid here, so the fans are always on full blast. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay organized. It’s practical work. We’re not here to talk about goals or grand plans. We just want to make sure the work gets done right and the paperwork is filed away properly by the end of the day.
