Our office for Larsen & Toubro Eccd is located at 11/6 Joykrishna Pal Road in Kolkata. It’s a typical Kolkata street, always something happening outside. The building we are in is nothing special to look at, just a regular place where we can get our work done. We handle the engineering and construction division tasks from here. It gets a bit humid in the office during the monsoon, but we are used to it by now. We don't have any fancy signs or a big lobby with a receptionist. When you walk in, you’ll just see people at their desks with plenty of paperwork around them. We use simple English and common sense to get through the day. There is no corporate polish here. We just care about making sure the sites have the plans they need and that everything is recorded correctly. Sometimes the street noise gets a bit loud, especially with the horns and the local vendors, but it’s just the sound of the city. Our team is a mix of people who have been with the company for years and some newer faces. We don't spend time on promotional speeches. We just focus on the tasks at hand. It’s a very practical environment. We have our tea together in the afternoon and talk about the work. It’s a simple life and we like it that way.
