L&T-Ecc

Our office is tucked away at 30/1, Banamali Naskar Road here in Kolkata. If you know this part of the city, you know it has a lot of character and quite a bit of noise too. We’ve been operating L&T-Ecc from this address, and it feels like a second home to most of us. The building is older, but it holds up well against the heat. Most mornings start with cleaning off the dust from the desks and getting the fans going. It’s not one of those corporate offices you see in the movies. We have old wooden chairs and metal cabinets filled with project maps and site reports. Someone is always on the phone talking to a foreman or a supplier. We don't really do the whole professional image thing perfectly; there are usually half-empty chai cups sitting around and stacks of paper that need filing. The street outside is always lively, which keeps us from feeling too isolated from the world. We focus on the local construction work, keeping track of materials and who needs to be where. The tea shop on the corner is where we get our morning boost, and usually, there’s a bit of a chat about the local news before we settle into the files. It’s a small team, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from answering the door to sorting out the payroll. It is practical and straightforward. We like being part of the neighborhood here. It’s just how we work.
