Our little office is tucked away in Fortuna Tower, right on Netaji Subhas Road. If you’ve ever walked down this street, you know how busy it gets with the cars and people constantly moving back and forth. We are up on the first floor in Room 10. It’s not a very big space, just enough for a few desks and some filing cabinets that have seen better days. Lakshmi Acres Llp is what we call ourselves, but mostly we’re just a small group of people trying to keep up with the real estate work that comes our way. The walls are a bit plain, maybe they could use some new paint, but we’re usually too busy to worry about that. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and that’s the highlight of the morning. We spend a lot of time looking at maps and talking about different plots of land. It can be a bit boring for some, but it’s what we know. We don’t have fancy rugs or expensive coffee machines. Just a couple of computers and a printer that jams every once in a while. Most of the people who come here are just locals looking for a bit of help with their property stuff. We try to be useful where we can. It’s been our home base for a while now, and we’ve gotten used to the creak in the floor by the door. We just show up every day and do the work that needs doing. It’s a plain way to spend the day but it suits us just fine.
