Mallik Mirrors

We’ve been at No. 24/12 Kustia Road for quite a while now. It’s a busy spot, but we like it here. Mallik Mirrors is just a small place where we handle glass and mirror work. People from the neighborhood stop by when they need something replaced or cut to size. It gets dusty in the shop with all the cutting going on, but that’s just how it is. We try to keep things organized, though there’s usually pieces of glass tucked in every corner. My father started things out, and we just kept going. It’s nothing fancy. Sometimes the traffic on Kustia Road makes it hard for deliveries to pull up, but we manage. If you walk past, you'll see the stacks of frames leaning against the wall. We don't have a big fancy showroom with bright lights. Most of what we do is just manual work at the back bench. It’s a steady life. We know most of the people who live around here by name. Dealing with mirrors means you have to be careful with your hands. We’ve had a few scrapes over the years, but you get used to it. The shop door squeaks a bit when it's humid. We should probably fix that, but we're usually too busy measuring things. It’s just us here every day, making sure the glass is cut straight and the edges aren't too sharp for people to handle. We're open early most mornings.
