Kotiratan Trading Llp is based at 27 Brabourne Road in the 700001 area of Kolkata. This is a very old part of the city and the streets around our building are always packed with people and vehicles. Our office is in a building that has been around for many years and it has those high ceilings you do not see much anymore. We spend our days dealing with the trading side of the business. It involves a lot of keeping track of different prices and talking to various vendors. We are not trying to be some massive corporation, we just want to do our daily work and go home. The office gets a bit dusty because of the wind and the traffic outside but that is just life in this city. We have a few desks and a lot of old-fashioned ledgers. Even though everything is going digital we still like to keep some paper records because it feels more reliable. Most of us have worked together for a long time so we do not need to have long meetings to understand what needs to be done. We just talk across the room while we work. Brabourne Road is a central spot which makes it easy for us to get to other parts of the city. The tea guy comes around every afternoon and that is usually when we take a short break. We are a small outfit.
