Kohinoor Steel Pvt Ltd.(Bothra Group)

Our office is over on Gopal Banerjee Lane in the Kalighat area of Kolkata. It's one of those narrow streets where everyone knows each other. Being part of the Bothra Group, we handle a lot of the steel business from this small spot at 7/2C. It gets quite humid here in the afternoons, but the ceiling fans keep us going while we're filing papers and taking calls. We've been in this neighborhood for a long time. People often walk past the door on their way to the temple or the local shops. Dealing with steel means a lot of logistics and talking to suppliers throughout the day. The phone rings a lot, mostly about truck schedules or delivery timings. We don't have a big corporate lobby with plants; it's just desks, chairs, and a lot of registers. Sometimes the internet acts up, but we figure it out. Lunchtime usually involves someone bringing in food from home or grabbing something quick from the lane. It’s a busy place with a lot of history in the walls. We handle the paperwork and the coordination for the metal loads that go across the city. The stairs in the building are a bit steep, so we get our exercise every day. It’s just us here, keeping track of the inventory and making sure the numbers add up at the end of the month. We prefer it this way, keeping things simple and direct for the business.
