Mags Electrical Components

If you go down to No. 8B Ganesh Sarkar Lane in Kidderpore, you’ll find our little setup. We deal with electrical components, which means the place is mostly full of small boxes and plastic bins. There are wires, switches, and tiny parts that I don't even know the names of half the time. It is a narrow lane, and sometimes it can be hard for delivery vehicles to get through, so we end up carrying a lot of stuff by hand from the main road. The lighting inside Mags Electrical Components isn't great, but we know where everything is kept by memory. We spend most of our time sorting through orders or testing parts to make sure they aren't duds. It’s quiet work for the most part, though the neighbors are usually out and about making plenty of noise. We get all sorts of people coming in—electricians who know exactly what they want and homeowners who are trying to fix a broken light and look a bit lost. We try to help them find the right bit so they don't have to come back twice. The air gets a bit stale in the summer, so we keep the door open and hope for a breeze. It’s just a normal job in a normal part of town, and we’re fine with that. We close up when it gets dark and start again the next morning when the lane starts to wake up.
