We have been here at 3/15 North Patna Road for a while now. Nandan Nagar is a busy place, and being in construction in Kolkata means dealing with the heat and the rain. It’s not always easy getting trucks down these roads, but we manage. We do basic building work, mostly local stuff around this part of West Bengal. Sometimes the office gets a bit dusty with all the files and the noise from the street outside. Our team is just a few guys who know their way around a site. We don't have a big fancy setup, just this spot near the P.O. area. People stop by to ask about repairs or how much some bricks might cost these days. Prices keep going up, which is a headache for everyone. We try to keep things moving though. Most of the time we are out on a site somewhere else, but this is where we keep the tools and the paperwork. It’s a bit cramped inside, especially when everyone comes in at once. Kolkata is growing so fast, and you can see it right outside the door. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years. Some days are slow, others we are running around until late. That’s just how the building trade goes in this city. We just get on with the job and hope the weather stays clear so we can finish the roofs. It is hard work, but we have been doing it for a long time.
