Compressor Valve Plates Services

You’ll find us at P-20 in Phase 3 of the Kasba Industrial Estate. It’s a typical industrial area, lots of trucks and the smell of grease and metal everywhere you go. We spend most of our time working on valve plates for compressors. It’s precise work, but our hands are almost always dirty by lunchtime. The shop isn’t much to look at, just some heavy machinery and stacks of steel sheets waiting to be cut into shape. We started this because there was a need for local servicing that didn't take weeks to arrive. Now, we just keep our heads down and handle whatever comes through the door from our customers. Some days it’s quiet, and we just do maintenance on our own tools to keep them sharp. Other days, we’re rushing to finish a batch because a customer’s machine broke down and they’re losing money every hour. We drink a lot of chai from the stall at the corner of the lane. The office part is just a small corner partitioned off with some plywood where we keep the invoices and the phone. It’s dusty because of all the grinding we do, but we try to sweep up every evening before heading home. We don’t really have any big titles here; everyone just pitches in where they are needed at the moment. It’s just a group of us trying to make sure the parts we send out actually fit and work like they are supposed to. No more, no less. We keep a radio playing in the background most of the time to keep the mood light.
