Ganesh Trader

We've been at the Amtala Bazar spot on Diamond Harbour Road for quite a while now. Most folks around Kanyanagar know where to find us. It's just a regular shop, nothing fancy to look at. We open up early in the morning because that's when the market gets busy. Sometimes the traffic on the road is a real mess, but we manage. We handle all sorts of trading stuff here. It's a family thing, mostly. My brother and I take turns sitting at the counter. We talk to the same people every day, neighbors and farmers mostly. There's always some tea going around. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just the shelves and the stock we get in. Sometimes the deliveries are late, and we have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It’s just how it goes here in P.S. Bishnupur. We try to keep things simple. If we have it, we sell it. If we don't, we tell you where else you might look. The building is old, and the fans make a lot of noise in the summer heat. We've thought about painting the sign outside, but honestly, everyone knows it's Ganesh Trader anyway. You just walk past the main junction in the 24 Parganas area and we are right there. It gets dusty with all the trucks passing by on the way to the city. We spend a lot of time just cleaning the counters and keeping things tidy for the morning.
