Our office is up on the ninth floor of the Shantiniketan Building. If you know Camac Street, you know how busy it gets. It is one of those parts of Kolkata where everyone seems to be in a hurry. Being in Room No 2 on the 9th floor means we are a bit away from the street noise, which is nice. The elevators in this building have seen better days, and sometimes you have to wait a while, but they get you there eventually. Kanthak Tradex Llp is basically just a few of us working in this space. We do a lot of trading and paperwork. It’s not a very big room, but it fits our desks and the files we need to keep track of everything. From the window, you can see a bit of the city skyline, though it’s mostly just other buildings. We’ve been here at 8 Camac Street for some time. The floor gets a bit quiet in the late evening, but during the day, there is always someone moving around in the hallway. We don’t really do anything flashy. It’s just about keeping the business moving and making sure the records are straight. Sometimes we order food from the places downstairs because there are so many options on this street. It is a practical spot for a business like ours. We just keep our heads down and get through the daily tasks until it's time to lock up and head out.
