Jmc Projects(I) Ltd.

This Jadavpur office is on the second floor of a building at 4A Ibrahimpur Road. We share the space here in Kolkata, and it is where Swarup Krishna Tarafder handles much of the coordination for Jmc Projects(I) Ltd. The area is typical for Jadavpur, with lots of students and small shops everywhere you look. It can be quite a climb up to the second floor, especially when we are carrying heavy files or equipment. The office itself is pretty simple, with a few fans humming away to keep the air moving during the summer months. We don't have much in the way of decoration, just some calendars and project photos pinned to the boards. Our work involves a lot of back-and-forth with the local authorities and site managers. It’s the kind of place where people just walk in and start talking about work without much of an introduction. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just wait it out and keep going. We know the neighbors well and often see them in the stairwell. It feels more like being part of a neighborhood than working in a business district. The furniture is a bit mismatched and the desks are old, but it serves its purpose for our daily operations. We focus on the practical side of building and don't worry about looking like a big fancy firm in the middle of Kolkata.
