Up in Tower Number 1 of Ruchira Residency, we have a bit of a view of the EM Bypass area. Our office, Flat 4/1, is part of the Jindal India Thermal Power Ltd setup in Kolkata. Being on Kalitala Main Road means we are right where the action is in Purbachal. It is a busy part of the city, and the traffic outside is almost always moving. Inside the residency, things are a bit quieter, which helps us get through the daily grind. We are not a massive industrial plant here; this is where the planning and the paperwork happen. Most of us have been working here long enough to know the best shortcuts to avoid the bypass jams. The office is simple and functional. We have our computers and our tea mugs, and that is about all we need to stay productive. It feels like a real office because it is one—not a showroom. People in the building are used to seeing us around. We might not have a big sign on the roof, but we are here every day making sure things run like they should. Kolkata is a city that never really stops, and we try to keep up with that pace. It is just a bunch of regular people trying to do a good job in a busy part of town.
