Jeekay Engineering Company

We've been at 12 Pollock Street for a while now, up on the first floor in room forty-two. It’s a busy spot but it works for us. Most people know us as Jeekay Engineering Company. We deal with various engineering parts and machinery bits that keep things running. The office is usually stacked with papers and blueprints. It isn’t fancy, just a workspace where we get things done. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with the traffic outside but you get used to it. We handle the day-to-day orders and talk to suppliers over the phone. Most of our work is just technical stuff, making sure the specs are right. It’s not flashy work, but it’s what we do. People stop by to pick up parts or just to ask about a specific fitting. We try to keep the stock organized but it’s a constant battle. The building is old and has that specific smell of metal and paper. We’ve stayed in this same room for years because it’s convenient for the customers who know the area. If you come up the stairs, we are right there in room 42. It’s a small team here, just a few of us making sure everything ships out on time. We spend a lot of time checking lists and looking at catalogs. Not much else to say really, we just show up and do the work every morning. It’s a living.
