S. M. Design Consultant is located at C-264/1 in Bapuji Nagar. We are up on the second floor. It’s a residential sort of area, so it feels a bit more quiet than the main roads, though you still get the sound of kids playing or someone selling vegetables downstairs. Our office is basically just a few rooms where we do all our drawing and planning. There are papers and blueprints spread out over almost every flat surface, and sometimes it’s hard to find a place to put down a cup of tea. We don't have a big sign out front or anything like that. Most people just know us by the address. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit narrow, so moving furniture in was a real headache when we first moved here. We’ve got some old fans that creak a bit, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re used to it. It feels more like a home than a corporate office, which suits us just fine. We spend a lot of time hunched over our desks. It’s a lot of slow, steady work. Bapuji Nagar is a nice enough place to be based out of, even if the parking is a nightmare. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out, without making much of a fuss about it. We just turn on the lights and get started.
