J. L. Mehta & Co.

Our office is tucked away at 26/3 in Hindustan Park, which is a nice part of Gariahat if you know your way around the lanes. J. L. Mehta & Co. has been operating out of this space for a while. It’s an old building with a lot of character, though the stairs can be a bit much if you’re carrying a lot of files. Gariahat is always bustling, but once you step into our part of Hindustan Park, it gets a little calmer, though you can still hear the distant honking of the main road. We have desks piled with papers and some old wooden chairs that have seen better days. It feels like a real workspace, not one of those glass boxes you see in the new parts of town. We spend our days mostly handling paperwork and talking to people who drop by. The fan whirrs overhead and we keep the windows open when the weather allows it. It’s a bit cramped when everyone is in at once, but we make it work. Sometimes we lose track of time because there's always something to organize or a ledger to check. Being in this neighborhood means we have plenty of spots for a quick snack or a tea break nearby. It’s just a standard, hardworking environment where we focus on getting our tasks done without any fuss or fancy talk.
