If you’re looking for J J Exporters Limited, you’ll find us over on Ashutosh Choudhary Avenue. We are up on the second floor of 23-C. The stairs can be a bit of a workout if you’re doing it three or four times a day, but we don’t mind it much. Being on the second floor gives us a bit of a view of the avenue, which is usually packed with cars and people heading somewhere important. Inside, the space is filled with stacks of papers and boxes waiting to go out. It’s a busy place, but we try to keep a rhythm. There’s always someone on the phone or typing away at a keyboard. We don’t have a receptionist in a suit; usually, you just walk in and someone will look up from their desk to see what you need. The office has that smell of old paper and coffee that never really goes away. We’ve decorated with a few calendars and maybe a stray plant that someone forgets to water. It’s just a workspace where we handle the export side of things. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a weird rattling sound, but it keeps us cool enough. We stay pretty focused on the shipping schedules and making sure everything is logged correctly. It’s not a glamorous setup, just a floor in a building where we put in our hours and get the shipments sorted.
