Located at 2A/2A M.A.K. Azad Sarani, our Kolkata office is a busy little hub for Itd Cementation India Ltd. It’s tucked into a part of the city that always seems to be moving. The office itself is fairly modest. We have a few rooms dedicated to different parts of the business. The lighting isn't the best, so we use a lot of desk lamps to see what we are doing with the blueprints and the ledgers. We have a lot of long-term employees here who know the local area like the back of their hands. It’s the kind of place where everyone knows whose turn it is to buy the biscuits for the afternoon tea. The furniture is a mix of stuff we’ve picked up over the years. We don't have a big lobby or a sign that lights up. Most people who come here are already familiar with our work and just need to drop off documents or talk about a specific project detail. It’s a bit dusty because of the construction work nearby, but we try to keep it tidy. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed for the most part, though things can get frantic when a deadline is approaching. We focus on the practical side of things and don't spend much time worrying about how the office looks to outsiders. It’s a functional space where we put in our hours and keep the wheels turning.
