About Islam International – Fashion & Trends in Kolkata
Miajaan Ostager Lane is where we spend most of our daylight hours. It’s a bit of a walk from the main crossing, but we've got our spot at number 29. Most mornings start with unlocking the front gate and seeing who else is already working nearby. Islam International isn't a huge place, just enough room for us to handle what needs doing. We’ve got some desks pushed together and shelves that are probably too full of files and samples. You can hear the street noise outside, but you get used to it after a few weeks. It’s mostly just us trying to keep things moving. Sometimes the internet is slow, or the tea guy is late, and that’s just how the day goes here. We don’t have fancy rugs or a big sign, just the name on the door and our work spread out on the tables. People stop by to drop things off or just to say hello while they’re passing through the lane. We’ve been at this for a while now, and the walls show it. There’s a specific way the light hits the office in the afternoon that lets us know it’s almost time to wrap up. It isn’t perfect, and it gets dusty, but it’s where we do our thing. We just focus on the orders in front of us and try to stay organized. That’s pretty much the whole story of this place.
