Our office is at 8C, Mahesh Dutta Lane. It’s a small street and it can be a bit hard to find if you aren't looking for it. We don't have a big sign or a storefront. It’s really just a quiet place where we handle import and export tasks. We spend most of our time on the phone or typing out emails to agents and customs people. There’s a lot of paperwork involved in what we do, so the desks are always buried under folders and forms. We’ve been in this lane for a long time and we like that it’s away from the main road noise. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have been working together forever. Sometimes we have samples of the things we trade piled up in the corners. It can get a bit cluttered. We don't have a marketing budget or a social media page. We just work with the people we know and try to keep things moving. Sometimes a shipment gets stuck at the port and we have a stressful few days, but that’s the nature of the business. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the news while we wait for calls. We aren't a big international corporation with fancy titles. We are just a small team in a narrow lane trying to get the job done right. It’s a modest way to work and we are okay with that.
