International Auto Emporium

We are located at No-11 on British Indian Street, right in that busy stretch of Chowringhee North. International Auto Emporium has been sitting here for quite some time. The street outside is usually a mess of people and cars, which I guess is good for an auto shop. Inside, it's mostly stacks of boxes and parts for different vehicles. We aren't really set up like those big showrooms you see in the newer parts of the city. It's more of a place where you come when you actually need something specific fixed or replaced. I spend a lot of my time looking through old ledgers or checking the computer to see if we have a particular component in the back. Sometimes a customer comes in and we just talk about their car for twenty minutes before even getting to the business side of things. It’s a bit dusty, and the lighting could probably be better, but it works for us. We get our shipments in through the narrow front door, which is always a bit of a struggle. My coffee usually gets cold before I can finish it because someone always walks in right when I sit down. That’s just the way the day goes here. We try to keep the shelves organized, but it’s a constant battle against the clutter. It feels like home after all these years.
