We set up shop at 6 Jhautala Road, right in the Circus Avenue area of Kolkata. It’s close to the Park Circus Seven Point crossing, so the traffic around here can be something else. We do interior work. It’s mostly about helping people figure out their rooms and making sure the carpenters and painters actually show up. We’ve seen all kinds of houses in this city, from old ones with high ceilings to the new apartments. Our office is a bit cramped because we have catalogs and wood samples everywhere. It’s not a fancy place, just where we sit down and draw things out. We don’t have a script for how we talk to people. We just tell it like it is. If a plan won't work, we say so. Interior work can be messy and dusty, so we spend a lot of time on-site instead of just sitting here. We’ve been part of the local scene for a bit now. Kolkata has its own style, and we try to work with that. If you're coming over, it’s best to avoid the peak hour at Seven Point if you can help it. We’re just a bunch of people who know how to put a room together. We don't use big words to explain things. We just use a measuring tape and some common sense to get the job finished for the families we work for. It’s a practical way to run a business.
