Innivation Center For Applied Nanotechnology

We are situated on the 4th floor of Nabaneer which is at Q1/58 in Baishnabghata Patuli. That is in the southern part of Kolkata. Being up on the 4th floor gives us a bit of a view of the Patuli area but mostly we are looking at our equipment. Innivation Center For Applied Nanotechnology is quite a long name and people often trip over the spelling when they first hear it. We do stuff with nanotechnology here which sounds very futuristic but mostly it involves us sitting at lab benches or looking at screens. The office has that specific smell of a lab mixed with regular office coffee. It is not a very big space but we have managed to fit everything we need into it. Living and working in Kolkata means dealing with the humidity and the busy streets but Patuli is a bit more relaxed than the city center. We usually take the stairs up to the 4th floor for a bit of exercise since the lift can be slow sometimes. We don't have fancy receptionists or a lounge area for guests. It is just a place where we do our research and try to figure things out. People around here in the 700094 zip code are used to seeing us coming and going at odd hours. We are just a group of people interested in science trying to make things work in our corner of Nabaneer. It is quiet work but it keeps us busy.
