Down in Baranagar, you will find us at 4/1 Srimani Para Lane. This part of Kolkata is always bustling. The lane itself is quite narrow, which can be a bit of a headache for the bigger trucks sometimes. Inland Road Transport(P) Ltd has been operating from this spot for a long time. It’s a basic office, nothing too special to look at, but it’s home to us. Usually, a few of us sit around the old wooden desks checking logbooks. We make sure the drivers have their routes straight before they leave. The weather here can be quite something. When the monsoon hits and the lanes get a bit flooded, the work doesn’t stop.
