You’ll find us at No. 1/1A Vansittart Row. We are on the 3rd floor of an old building in that part of the city. If you know the streets around here, you know they are narrow and full of history. Industrial Tapes & Fabrics has been around this part of town for a good while. The stairs are made of heavy stone and are quite worn down from everyone walking up and down over the years. Our space is filled with big rolls of tape and different kinds of heavy industrial fabrics. It’s not a pretty place, just a workspace with high ceilings and old windows. We spend a lot of time measuring and cutting things to size for our orders. The air always smells a bit like adhesive and dusty cloth. It’s relatively quiet inside compared to the street noise, but you still hear the city sounds coming through. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, just the basics that get the job done correctly. The light is a bit yellow from the old bulbs we use in the storage area. We usually have a small radio playing somewhere in the background to keep things lively. It’s just a few of us working here, keeping track of the stock and making sure the orders go out to the right places. We don’t do much advertising. People usually find us because they already know where we are located. It’s a steady kind of work, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood and the old building we work in.
