Working out of the ground floor at 70-B, Lenin Sarani keeps us pretty close to the street level. At Industrial & Mining Tools Co., there’s always something happening right outside the door. It’s a busy part of the city and we get a lot of people coming through. The space isn’t huge, but we pack a lot of tools into every corner. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when a big shipment arrives, but we manage to find a spot for everything eventually. We spend a lot of time looking through catalogs and checking the shelves for what the mining guys need. It’s a lot of heavy stuff, so my back definitely feels it by the end of a long week. We’ve got a small desk near the front where we handle the paperwork and talk to customers who wander in. It isn't a quiet place by any means. There is always the sound of the street and people talking loudly. We’ve been at this location for a long time, so most of the neighbors know us by name. It’s just a straightforward operation. We don’t have a big fancy showroom or anything. It is mostly just stacks of boxes and tools ready to go. We keep the lights on and stay ready for whoever walks in next. It’s honest work and keeps us on our toes every day. We usually grab tea from the stall nearby and just keep moving through the pile of orders we have.
