Imperial Honda

You can find us at 45 1 1A Moore Avenue, right in the Tollygunje area of Kolkata. We are Imperial Honda, and we spend our days surrounded by bikes and scooters. Kolkata is a city that never really stops, and Tollygunje is no different. The heat can be quite something in the afternoons, so we usually have the fans going full blast in the shop. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. We have the showroom in the front and a bit of space for repairs and paperwork. Most of the people who work here are locals who have a real interest in engines and how things work. We don't use a lot of fancy sales talk because people here know what they want. They want something to get them through the city streets. We’ve seen all sorts of customers over the years, from young kids getting their first ride to older folks who have been driving the same model for twenty years. Our office is a bit cluttered with manuals and spare parts, but we know where everything is. We aren't a big corporate chain; we are just a local spot where you can come and talk about bikes. We open up the shutters early in the morning and stay until the work is done. It is honest work, and we are glad to be part of the community here on Moore Avenue. It’s a busy life but it’s ours.
