Ilfs

We are located at 40 B. T. Road in Kolkata. If you know that part of the city, you know it’s always busy with trucks and buses going back and forth. Our office is right there in the middle of it. We’ve been in this building for quite a while. It’s an old part of Kolkata, 700050, and it feels like it. The walls are thick and the ceilings are high. We don't have any of those modern glass partitions you see in the new offices. We just have our desks and a lot of ledgers. Working at ILFS here means dealing with a lot of financial and infrastructure paperwork. The noise from B. T. Road is constant, but you stop hearing it after a few months. We mostly drink tea from the stall downstairs and talk about the day's tasks. There’s no big corporate vibe here. We are just a group of people trying to keep the accounts and projects in order. The lift in the building is a bit temperamental, so we often just take the stairs. It’s a very grounded place to work. We don't spend money on fancy brochures or advertisements. Most people who need us know exactly where to find us on the main road. It’s just a regular Kolkata office life, busy, a bit dusty, and always moving at its own pace despite the chaos outside. Sometimes the pigeons get into the hallway, but we just ignore them and keep working.
