Icici Prudential Life Insurance

We operate out of Dipali Cooperative Housing Society, in Flat No 2/2 in Kolkata. Being in a housing society makes the whole vibe very different from a typical commercial building. It’s much quieter here most of the time. We have a couple of rooms converted into an office space. There are desks squeezed into the main room and shelves lined with thick binders. Most of our visitors are people from the nearby blocks who don’t want to travel all the way into the city center. We spend our mornings checking through the life insurance applications that came in the day before. There’s always a bit of dust because of the open windows, but the breeze is nice. We drink a lot of tea while we work. It’s not a high-pressure environment. We talk to people about their families and their plans while we fill out the forms. Sometimes the electricity goes off for a bit, and we just sit and chat until it comes back. We don't have any flashy signs or posters. Just a small plate on the door. It feels more like visiting a neighbor than going to a big insurance company. We like it that way. It keeps things simple and honest. We just do the work, file the papers, and go home to our own families at the end of the shift. It’s a very Kolkata way of doing business, and it suits us fine.
