You can find our office on Dr B.C Roy Road in the Noapara area of Shyamnagar. It’s part of the North 24 Parganas district, so it has that specific small-town feel despite being quite busy during the day. We are a DSA for the bank, which means we spend a lot of our time dealing with applications and visiting people to get their documents sorted out. The office itself is modest. We have a few desks and a bench for people to sit on if they have to wait. The street outside is usually full of rickshaws and people walking to the station, so there is always some noise coming in through the windows. We like the location because it’s close to the main parts of town. Our daily routine involves a lot of phone calls and checking over forms to make sure they are filled in right. Sometimes we have to go out and meet clients at their homes or offices, so the office isn’t always full of staff. We’ve been working in this area for a while and we know many of the shopkeepers on the road. It’s a very grounded way to work. We don't have a lot of high-tech equipment, just the basics that we need to stay organized and keep the files moving. It’s a lot of manual work and following up on things, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
