Our small office is located in Sonarpur, at S-2/21 in the Kol-150 area. It’s a bit of a trek from the main part of Kolkata, but we like it out here. The name of the company is a bit of a mouthful, but we just call it by the initials usually. We handle a lot of different local tasks and paperwork. Most of the time, the office is a bit messy with files and ledgers, but we know where everything is. We have a few old fans that make a lot of noise but keep the air moving during the humid months. Our days are pretty routine. We arrive, open up the shutters, and start going through the mail and the list of things to do. There’s no big hierarchy here. Everyone just chips in with whatever needs doing, whether it’s answering the phone or going out to meet someone nearby. Sonarpur is a lively neighborhood, and we often hear the sounds of the market and the local traffic while we work. We aren't some high-tech firm with fancy gadgets. We use pen and paper as much as we use the computer. It’s a very hands-on way of doing things. We’ve been here for a while and the locals know us. We just take things one day at a time and try to stay on top of the work we have. It is just a normal place where we try to stay organized.
